Walking

We have tried and tested numerous short and long walks, a perfect addition to your stay at Ifferdale: Saddell Explorer, Carradale to Ifferdale , Castle and coast, Beinn an tuirc and Gigha explorer.

Kintyre offers some amazing walks for all abilities from the serious walker to those wanting a gentle amble through beautiful countryside or along sandy beaches.

PLEASE NOTE: All walks are undertaken entirely at your own risk. You should carry a detailed map and compass and know how to use them, Always take suitable wet weather clothing and sun protection as the weather can change quickly. In summer months it is advisable to have midge repellent. Always take water to drink. It is the walkers responsibility to ensure that the walk and weather conditions are within their capabilities. Route descriptions are provided for general information only and should not be relied upon as being correct or accurate. Routes can be affected by a number of factors including building works, forestry and farming activities and the re-routing of paths etc. Many walks cross private land and animals may be in the fields. Please follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and ensure no damage is caused to private property or interference with crofting, farming, stalking or forestry activities.
